Author, Presenter and Designer Jane Means has always loved adventure and creation. Her global following started back in 1995 from the kitchen table with a creative head, determination to prove her critics wrong and a lot of hard work.
Her early days were spent making bespoke cards and wedding stationery which became very successful. She was commissioned to make a card for the Queen (which later went on display in Buckingham Palace Mews). By the late 90's Jane realised her true passion was gift wrapping and after doing her Teacher training, decided to start her own gift wrapping training academy.
Clients travel worldwide to attend her workshops in the UK and Singapore. Known as the ‘Gift Wrap Guru' she trains staff for Harrods, has designed a signature style for YSL and has appeared live in the windows of Liberty London. Her varied portfolio includes services for Molton Brown, Mappin and Webb, Scania, Jo Malone, Aldi, Revlon and Fortnum and Mason.
Other than the Gift Wrapping School, Jane Means has also provided a luxury gift wrapping service for Selfridges, Dior, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Banana Republic, Eurostar, H+M, and Country Living Magazine.
She has worked for Dior throughout Europe, wrapped a gift for the Queen, worked at Highgrove and personally gift wrapped for the super rich, ambassadors and various celebrities (Highly discreet she won't disclose names).
Jane travels nationwide running private courses and corporate events, in addition to her own workshops based around the UK and Singapore. She is now a popular speaker and demonstrator at charity functions, trade shows and hospitality events.
The presenter has been filmed for many commercials and product endorsements including WHSmith, Debenhams and Marks & Spencer and has been a Brand Ambassador for Scotchtape. With her designs often copied, she is now a copyright ambassador for ACID (Anti Copying in Design).
Jane Means has appeared on YouTube, many TV shows including Kirstie Allsopps Handmade Christmas, ITV1 This Morning, BBC2 Working Lunch, The Paul O'Grady Show (ITV) and Alex Polizzis Christmas Fix (BBC2). She currently does a regular radio slot for BBC Lincolnshire reviewing the morning newspapers, as well as being a guest on other radio stations including Radio 2, Gulf Radio and Radio 5 Live.
The wrapping expert has a dedicated team and now designs her own ribbon collections, which are featured regularily in the press and are sold online and wholesale. Her well recognised ribbons can be found in stores including Liberty and Fortnum and Mason. She also has a team of experienced Ribbon Bloggers who regularily post DIY tutorials and craft ideas using the companies ribbons and craft products.
Jane Means launched her global book ' 'Giftwrapped' and has produced her DVD 'The Art of Gift Wrapping'
She has also been featured in Kirstie Allsopp's Christmas Crafts Book and The Great British Sewing Bee, and is regularily featured in the press. Jane is passionate about business and is also a Public Speaker
The company were presented with the SBS Business Award from Theo Paphitis and celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2015.
She lives with her husband David in London and Singapore
