Private and Corporate Courses

Gift Wrapping Training Courses are available in your own home or workplace with Jane Means
The expert also travels overseas to run training programmes

These are available in the comfort of your own home and are cheaper in price to the regular courses providing you have a few attending. One to one courses are available however prove expensive as the minimum charge applies (see below).  Jane also works evenings and Saturdays.

Off Peak Season (January - August)

6 hours  £395+VAT 
8 hours  £425+VAT
Saturdays (6 hours) £475+VAT 
Additional hours: £50+VAT

Peak Season (September - December)
Full Day Sessions
6 hours £475+VAT (minimum)
8 hours £500+VAT
Saturdays (6 hours) £575+VAT
Additional hours: £75+VAT
We regret that we are unable to offer half days during our peak season.

Jane is based in both London and Singapore, and has previously travelled to India, Middle East, Australia and Canada to run a variety of workshops.



Excludes venue and equipment hire (if applicable) and travel expenses which are kept to a minimum 
For long distances over 5 hours roundtrip an overnight stay will be required
Mileage will be charged at 45p per mile in addition to a travelling fee of £20+VAT per hour


The half day is not available during our peak season, and any additional time will be charged at £50 per hour. 
The price is based on up to 8-10 people attending. 

Includes  All materials. Excludes venue, lunch and travel expenses*

For larger groups Jane will bring a collegue which will incur a surcharge.

*For distances longer than a 5 hour round trip an overnight stay will be required (i.e. Premier Inn, Bed and Breakfast etc)

Full Intensive Day Course

This is available throughout the year

Course length: 6 hours including lunch break
This covers all aspects of Gift Wrapping to suit any budget. You will learn the basics of wrapping, learning how to do the perfect box without any ugly sticky tape. You will also cover wrapping bottles, circular items, large items, sharp objects and awkward shapes. Once you have done this you will learn how to make the perfect bow and how to add inexpensive finishing touches and embellishments. You will also receive invaluable information on effective displays, marketing, branded product design and useful suppliers. Refresher courses are available.

Course Content: Gift Wrapping: Basics, Japanese pleating, bottles, spheres, tackling awkward shapes, presentation and decoration, bows, making gift bags and envelopes

Half day Course

Available from January-August
This is the a more compact version of the full course and ideal if you want to run a quick course for your staff during work hours.

Course length: 4hrs including quick lunch break

Course content: Gift Wrapping: Basics, bottles, tackling awkward shapes, presentation and
making gift bags

Includes:  All materials

Corporate Courses

These are available in your store or workplace. You and your staff will learn all of the tips of the trade from an expert who has provided a gift wrapping service for Selfridges, Harrods,  Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic and Victoria Beckham. This is suited to all budgets and you also practice wrapping your own products. Jane can also give you tips with marketing, visual displays, presentation and recommended suppliers in the trade.

Travelling Expenses

Travel expenses are excluded. Unless transport has been arranged, an additional round trip mileage fee will be charged at the standard rate of 45p per mile, along with any additional parking expenses and congestion charges etc.  Please ask us for a quote.

We have revised our cancellation policy and now require 50% of the fee to secure a booking
The following 50% and any travel costs will be paid on the course date

Payment is by BACS, Debit or Credit card.

The remaining balance must be settled on the day of the course
Overseas customers must pay the balance at least one week prior to the course date


Full refunds are given if cancellations are received in writing 28 days prior to the course date. Cancellations within 28 days will incur the following charges:

Lunch and Refreshments

If you not providing lunch for your guests, please ensure they bring their own refreshments.

What is Excluded?

Private venue costs, travelling expenses, accommodation (if overnight stay is required) and lunch/refreshments aren’t included. If travel is involved Jane is happy to use a budget airline and trains to keep costs to a minimum.


We can provide a list of suppliers suitable for your requirements on the day.
